Thorpe Woodlands visit Year 5
24th March 2017
Year 5 visited Thorpe Woodlands Activity Centre in Thetford Forest on Friday 24th March 2017 to participate in a range of team building and outdoor and adventurous activities. The main focus for the day centred on team work and all of the skills required to be an effective team player: collaboration, communication, supporting others and listening.
The children were impeccably well behaved and the staff at the centre commented upon their high levels of maturity and focus. They all worked together and positively supported each other to achieve the goals of the day, be it canoeing, climbing, powerfan and abseiling, low ropes/team activities and zip wire.
Their happy and excited faces said it all, as did the laughter we heard all day, and there were some very tired children (but in a good way) on the way home. We hope that it has inspired them all to want to take part in the year 6 residential next year!
