Visit to Scott Polar Museum
24th November 2016
Today Kookaburra and Kiwi classes went to explore The Scott Polar Research Institute in Cambridge as part of our 'Ice Trap' topic. We pretended to be explorers hunting for the equipment we would need to pack for a trip to one of the Polar regions. We saw diaries written by Scott and Shackleton, the fur sleeping bag used on Scott's Antarctic expedition as well as musical instruments, clothing and food. Naomi, the education officer told us stories of brave explorers and allowed us to use the grown up lecture theatre. What a fantastic trip!
